Luggage Porter

• Assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally
• Complete hand over between shifts and pass on all necessary information
• Have detailed knowledge of all hotel services and functions
• Meet and greet every guest with a smile
• Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay
• Anticipate guests' service needs
• Proactively offer support to guests with luggage and shopping bags
• Deal with guests' issues and problems using the LEARN model
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
• Follow correct luggage handling procedures
• Ensure luggage room is always secure
• Mentor new hires
• Maintain all logbooks
• Ensure immaculate appearance of lobby, luggage room, and luggage elevator banks
• Perform duties of a doorman in their absence
• Deliver newspapers, messages, packages etc. to guestrooms

• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Confidence interacting with guests
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal English
• The ability to work independently
• Previous experience working in five star, luxury/lifestyle hotels

• Previous experience working within a customer service environment preferred
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
