Job Description:

Randstad Education is seeking a committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant for a long-term role within our partnership schools in East Grinstead. This position involves supporting the school for one term, two terms, or the entire academic year. You will play a key role in assisting teachers in the classroom, working with small groups, and providing 1:1 support to pupils as needed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Work with small groups of students to enhance their learning and understanding
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific learning needs, including SEN
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a school setting
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
  • A patient, caring, and supportive attitude towards working with children
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential
