Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics/Packing Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper packaging, handling, and inspection of sensitive systems and components. This is a long-term contract position ideal for candidates who excel in logistics operations and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Package sensitive systems and components using engineered crates while ensuring their secure placement
  • Adhere to detailed work instructions, drawings, and packing specifications during all operations
  • Operate tools such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists to safely transport large and heavy assemblies
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify compliance with specifications and standards
  • Complete packing checklists accurately and prepare required documentation, including crate labeling as per customer and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain quality standards by supporting organizational protocols and procedures
  • Inspect crates to confirm their integrity and identify any damage, defects, or missing parts
  • Follow cleanroom and controlled environment procedures to uphold safety and cleanliness
  • Collaborate with assembly, quality, and logistics teams to coordinate the loading of packed items onto transport trucks

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics, shipping, or packing operations
  • Proficiency in using tools such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists
  • Ability to interpret and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Familiarity with cleanroom or controlled environment procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills for accurate documentation and labeling
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multiple departments
  • Understanding of regulatory and export requirements related to packaging and shipping
