Working with customers and suppliers, to oversee the movement, distribution and storage of all products. Maintaining a customer service relationship while coordinating inbounds and outbounds of raw material and finished product. Working with the Production Manager to determine the order in which product will be available to meet customer demands. Manage Warehouse Supervisor, the warehouse function and its employees.
Job Responsibility:
Receive orders from customers stating what type of product to be used and when final product is needed
Maintain food safe loading and unloading areas
Coordinate with Production Manager to determine the order of production to meet customer requirements and dates
Maintaining a customer service relationship with all customers, suppliers and vendors
Continually review work orders keeping both production and customers up to date on any changes necessary to the production order and/or off loading
Use appropriate databases and spreadsheets to maintain an accurate record of all components of the logistical process
Ensure adherence to procedures and policies, including GMP, HAACP and food safety requirements
Conduct regular internal auditing to ensure food safety compliance
Maintain and develop positive business relationships with customers
Able to effectively communicate any changes to the delivery schedule to the customer

Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met
Administer necessary training to employees
Perform daily inventory tracking for multiple customers raw materials, finished products, packaging material, process material, chemicals and hold/rework material
Perform month end and annual inventory reconciliation and analysis
Review and process all invoices and other required paperwork regarding delivery and receipt of the product and raw material
Provide bill of ladings daily to Accounting as well as all other documents needed to accurately invoice customer
Sending/mailing any logistical paperwork for movement of raw material and finished products
Research the root cause of documented customer complaints
Interface with Quality Assurance for sampling of products and meeting customer requirements
Complete and maintain all daily, weekly, monthly, etc paperwork and reports accurately and on a timely basis
Maintain OSHA compliant loading and unloading areas
Host regular meetings with Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics employees
Supervise Warehouse Supervisor and other warehouse employees
Working with Warehouse Supervisor, keep track of incoming and outgoing loads to and from facility
Serve as Production Manager back-up as needed
Be available after hours and on weekends to respond to urgent logistics issues
Conduct regular evaluations of staff for effectiveness
Work with HR Manager and Plant Manager to address and resolve any warehouse employee performance issues
Participate in annual review of food safety system
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or similar area or work experience equivalent
Three to five years of logistics experience
Being able to handle various schedule changes from customers or suppliers
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Be a self-starter and consistently communicate in a team environment
Flexible and able to respond rapidly to any changes in logistical schedule
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer knowledge, including the ability to effectively use all MS office applications
Strong customer service skills
