We're looking for a Localization Manager to join our team and help ensure that all of our customers, regardless of their language, get the most out of our products. As an early member of the localization team, this role will be pivotal in both setting direction and executing at a tactical level to bring our suite of digital products to life across markets. The localization team is a part of our larger product design organization, consisting of 25+ members spanning roles in UX design, research, writing, and localization.
Job Responsibility:
Own end-to-end localization processes for a collection of product experiences within the larger Arrive portfolio spanning 27+ languages (and growing)
Lead localization design reviews of planned new features
Select and optimize fit-for-purpose translation workflows
Build and execute Localization Quality Assurance testing processes with internal and external resources
Manage localization budget and vendors for assigned product experiences
Be the advocate for our language-diverse customer base through regular evangelization with your cross functional colleagues throughout the business
Requirements:
Proven experience managing end-to-end localization programs supporting web and mobile app interfaces (from design critique through LQA)
Experience and passion for leveraging AI within localization processes
Experience collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to address localization within the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC)
6+ years of experience working with Translation Management Systems (Smartling, Phrase, Lokalise, Weblate, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance speed, quality, and cost tradeoffs to support business objectives
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one other language
