A lovely family based in Los Angeles are seeking a confident, proactive, and well-travelled Live-in Nanny to support the mother in caring for her son (born December 2023). This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced nanny who thrives in a flexible, professional environment and loves to travel between the USA and Europe. The family spend significant time travelling, with summers (July-September) and winter periods (1-2 months) spent in Europe (Paris, South of France, Italy). The ideal candidate will be excited by this lifestyle, comfortable working both in shared care and sole charge, and respectful of professional boundaries.
Job Responsibility:
Providing both shared care and sole charge for one child (born December 2023)
Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the child
Planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities to support development
Managing all nursery duties including laundry, ironing, and maintaining cleanliness of the nursery and play areas
Working collaboratively with the family’s Housekeeper
Assisting with household errands when not required for childcare duties
Travelling with the family to Europe during summer and winter periods
Working flexibly to accommodate occasional evenings and additional hours as required (overtime paid)
Taking initiative and planning ahead to ensure smooth daily routines
Requirements:
Significant experience caring for children of a similar age (toddlers/young children)
US and EU passport / Right to work in both US and Europe
A confident, proactive, and flexible approach to work
Experienced working in both shared care and sole charge
Professional, good-natured, and able to maintain appropriate boundaries
Well-travelled and enthusiastic about spending extended periods in Europe and the USA
Organised with excellent planning skills and ability to work independently
Happy to ‘muck in’ and assist with household tasks when not providing childcare
Comfortable around small dogs
Nice to have:
Fluent French speaking would be a plus
A second language such as French is advantageous but not essential
