We are looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in civil litigation. The role involves collaborating closely with attorneys and contributing to various aspects of case preparation and management.
Job Responsibility:
Assist attorneys with drafting motions and reviewing legal documents for accuracy and grammatical precision
Conduct document review and ensure compliance with legal standards
Provide reliable support to multiple attorneys, managing competing priorities effectively
Participate in online case studies and discussions with focus groups
Utilize case management software to organize, track, and manage litigation files
Support trial preparation activities, including evidence collection and witness coordination
Handle electronic filing of legal documents, ensuring timely submission
Analyze case details and provide research support for civil litigation matters
Collaborate on cases involving personal injury, civil rights, and excessive force litigation
Maintain a proactive approach to managing deadlines and workflow
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in litigation
Proficiency in civil litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation
Familiarity with case management software and electronic filing systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors in documents
Experience supporting attorneys in plaintiff cases, including civil rights and personal injury
Self-motivated and dependable with the capability to work independently
Knowledge of civil rights litigation and excessive force cases is highly desirable
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
