Our client is looking for a dedicated Litigation Attorney to join us in a hybrid capacity based in San Mateo. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Litigation Attorney to handle complex legal matters while benefiting from the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.
Job Responsibility:
Represent clients in all phases of civil litigation, including pretrial motions, discovery, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals
Draft legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements
Conduct legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing matters
Prepare clients, witnesses, and experts for depositions, hearings, and trial testimony
Develop litigation strategies and evaluate case merits in consultation with clients
Attend and advocate at court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials
Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution as needed
Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedures, and ethical standards
Maintain accurate records and update clients on case status
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
5+ years of experience practicing litigation, with proven trial experience preferred
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules and procedures
Exceptional legal research, analytical, and drafting skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with effective client interaction
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting
Proficiency with litigation support technology and document management systems
