Job Description:

Join us as a “LIQ - QA Test Engineer" at Barclays, where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You'll harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionise our digital offerings, ensuring unapparelled customer experiences. To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Test case development, and execution across manual and automated testing
  • Experience in QA Automation and Shift Left methodology-Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and quality assurance methodologies
  • Establish testing standards, best practices, and metrics for measuring quality
  • Liaison between Stakeholders -technical team and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage defect tracking and resolution processes
  • Conduct risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts accordingly
  • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, security)
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools(like Cucumber, RightClick etc)
  • Knowledge of JIRA, CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
  • Experience with Java-based applications and microservices testing
  • Experience with API testing and integration testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication

Nice to have:

  • Exposure on NFT testing (JMeter/ LoadRunner) is a plus
  • Report on quality metrics and testing progress to stakeholders
  • Finance experience preferred - loan servicing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in managing QA cycle and automation framework- preferred
  • Knowledge of Loan IQ product is a plus
  • knowledge of syndication/origination is a plus
  • Experience on a team using Agile project management strongly preferred
  • Good experience with automated unit testing and TDD strongly preferred.
