Job Description:

The Social Worker is responsible for providing all-inclusive case management to educators, clients and their families in all regions served by Clarendon Early Education Services, Inc. This position is based in Lawrence but individual must be prepared to conduct site visits to all regions served by Clarendon Early Education Services, Inc. This includes regions in and surrounding Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Boston, Cape Cod, Worcester and Springfield. The Social Worker works closely with families and staff to identify needed supports and facilitate referrals to external partners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with identified families experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, severe mental illness, or other crisis to connect them to resources. Provide on-going social work or clinical support as needed
  • Make referrals for Early Learning and Early Intervention, Family Child Care and School Age families
  • Maintain ongoing communication with community agencies and contacts to provide resources for families and educators
  • Coordinate and facilitate focused case management as needed
  • Provide information and support to staff regarding mental health, substance abuse or other issues as needed
  • Develop and/or facilitate reflective communities of practice for educators, staff and families as needed
  • Attend case management meetings for individual families as needed
  • Offer individual consultation to educators, families and staff
  • Maintain accurate casefile management and reporting for all services including up to date case notes, contact logs and referrals
  • Provide emergency response management to address any crises or safety issues that may arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must be prepared to conduct site visits to all regions served by Clarendon Early Education Services, Inc.

Requirements:

  • Experience with children and families in a clinical social work capacity
  • Attained licensure as an LSW, LICSW, or LCMH
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in social work or counseling
  • Empathetic and respectful in working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems
  • Excellent crisis management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
