Job Responsibility:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements:

  • Experience of working for an Investment Bank
  • Must have bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with Java / J2EE technologies including Java frameworks such as Springs/Hibernates/Angular JS
  • Able to document system architectures and process flow
  • Able to work well with IT developers in multiple locations and across other teams
  • Knowledge of software development is the best practices and the software development life cycle using Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, able to shift priorities quickly
  • Values-based approach
  • Analytical skills – ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Working in the Compliance or Risk domains
  • Experience with Java Script/HTML5 a plus
  • Experience with the following tool sets: Perforce/GIT for source code control and Confluence, JIRA, UML for project and task tracking
  • Autosys for batch control
  • MQ for messaging
  • Experience with software release/build processes (e.g., Continuous Integration, Automated Deployment, Test Driven Development, etc.)
  • Project management certification
  • PMP, CSM, etc.
  • Strong appreciate of Global Markets and awareness of global economic, regulatory and Compliance trends
  • Specific knowledge of financial products such as Equities or Commodities
