Job Description:

Owens Corning is seeking a Legal Entity Controller to join our Nordics Accounting & Internal Controls Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls across our legal entities in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway—including manufacturing plants, holdings, and distribution entities. You will work closely with our External Shared Services and internal stakeholders to ensure financial processes are executed in alignment with Owens Corning’s standards, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements. This position offers a dynamic environment where continuous improvement, collaboration, and ownership are key.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering accurate and timely financial close processes
  • Ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and local statutory regulations
  • Supporting statutory audits and external reporting with precision
  • Acting as a proactive partner to business operations, HR, tax, and shared services
  • Driving process improvements and contributing to European-wide standardization initiatives
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Building effective backup strategies and ensuring business continuity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or controlling roles
  • Fluency in English
  • knowledge of Nordic languages is a plus
  • Willingness to work from Parainen or Helsinki and travel occasionally within the Nordics
  • Strong understanding of local statutory requirements and tax regulations in the Nordics region

  • Knowledge of Nordic languages is a plus
  • Proficiency in SAP and other financial systems is a plus
