Job Description:

Inetum is seeking a Legal & Compliance Director to lead legal governance, manage compliance efforts, and support digital transformation projects in Belgium. This strategic and hands-on role includes contract negotiation, litigation, and regulatory guidance, coordinating with various teams.

Job Responsibility:

Overseeing the legal governance of the Belgian entity, including mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
Leading the negotiation of complex contracts (IT, digital, partnerships, etc.)
Advising the Belgian General Management and operational teams on tenders, legal risks, and compliance matters
Implementing the Group’s compliance program within Belgium
Managing litigation and data protection (GDPR) issues
Supervising a senior legal counsel based in Belgium
Supporting the company’s core functions on IT and digital transformation projects
Contributing to cross-functional initiatives at both Benelux and Group levels

Requirements:

Advanced legal education with a minimum of 15 years’ experience
Proven track record as a Legal Director in Belgium
Strong command of contract law, business law, and digital law
Solid knowledge of international compliance standards (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, Sapin II)
Familiarity with GDPR and European regulatory frameworks
Broad understanding of IT and digital transformation projects
Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with strong risk analysis skills
Excellent interpersonal, writing, and organizational abilities
Fluency in French, English, and Dutch is essential
