Job Description:

We are looking for passionate Personal Advisers to join our Children, Young People & Culture team in the Bury area! This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children in care and care leavers, supporting them to achieve their potential and transition successfully into adulthood.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the implementation of care & pathway plans for children and young people
  • Prepare young people for independence and adulthood, providing advice on education, training, accommodation, and wellbeing
  • Maintain strong relationships with carers, families, and professionals to provide holistic support
  • Promote participation through group work, social opportunities, and advocacy for children in care and care leavers
  • Work flexibly across different local authority establishments with some evening and weekend commitments

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or families in a professional setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and care planning
