Job Responsibility:
Supporting students 1-on-1 to help them understand and finish their classroom tasks
Leading small group activities to boost learning in core subjects like English and Maths
Helping KS4 students stay organised and motivated as they prepare for their GCSEs
Simplifying the teacher's instructions for students who find certain topics difficult
Helping the teacher manage the classroom so that every student stays focused
Encouraging students to build their confidence and take pride in their work
Watching out for the well being of students and providing a friendly, supportive face
Keeping track of student progress and giving feedback to the class teacher
Ensuring all students follow the school rules and stay safe during the school day
Requirements:
A University Degree OR a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly valued
Previous experience working with young people in any setting (sports, youth clubs, or schools)
A patient and resilient personality to support students who may have learning barriers
Clear communication skills to explain ideas in a way that teenagers understand
The ability to build professional and trusting relationships with students and staff
A proactive approach to helping out in the classroom without needing to be asked
