The role will be under the Finance team of Vestas Shared Service Center. The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist will work alongside with the Finance Operations Management team to meet Vestas' Finance SSC training and development needs. The role involves research, design, and delivering training programs to uplift workforce capabilities and ensure skills and capabilities are maintained and in line with business needs. This position requires an experienced L&D professional with a background in Finance shared services. The candidate will combine comprehensive operational knowledge of Learning and Development and demonstrate the ability to transform capabilities at all levels. Their strategic focus will be to elevate the current Finance SSC capabilities and soft skills to shift SSC mindset from purely transactional to value-adding activities.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement the Vestas' Learning & Development strategy in alignment with business priorities, talent needs, and organizational goals
Conduct training needs assessments using job analysis, performance reviews, skill-gap assessments, and close collaboration with business managers
Develop, implement, and continuously update a competency framework that supports consistent recruitment, promotion, and career development decisions
Design, assist, and oversee effective learning programs, including onboarding, knowledge transfer, leadership development, and soft skills
Manage course setup, user experience, and reporting
Identify and source relevant external training programs and providers to complement internal learning initiatives
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external training companies (e.g., training agencies, GBS associations, etc)
Monitor the quality and effectiveness of externally sourced training, gather feedback and performance data to inform future sourcing decisions
Design, implement, and manage talent evaluation tools to assess competencies, identify high-potential employees, as well as underperformers
Support business leaders to design resource progression maps, and structured development tracks across Finance SSC
Measure the effectiveness of L&D programs using data-driven methods (post-training evaluations, performance improvement metrics, competency progression, etc.)
Prepare regular reports and insights for leadership on learning impact, participation rates, and talent development outcomes
Stay updated with global L&D trends and continuously introduce innovative learning solutions
Support building up a service and performance culture in the Finance SSC with support of the service management-oriented roles in Operational Finance
Evaluate Finance SSC resources against skills, workload and availability taking into consideration any project-specific needs
Support potential future Finance transition activities to the extent required to get immediate capability uplifts and continuously improve soft skills
Execute on activities to boost the Vestas SSC branding image both to advertise services internally as well as to create an employer brand for talent attraction
Requirements:
5+ years of overall HR experience
3+ years of experience in Learning & Development management with experience in rolling out Finance Operations L&D curriculum
Experience from similar industry
Practical experience in designing and delivering training programmes aimed at improving workflows and elevating service quality
Fluent in English - verbally and written
Proficient in stakeholder engagement and creating synergies, ensuring effective interaction with business leaders.
Proficient facilitation, communication, coaching, and presentation skills
Detail-oriented thinking complemented by effective planning, project management, and follow-up abilities
