We’re looking for a UI / Visual Design Lead to own and shape the visual brand and UI direction of bsport. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a tastemaker and opinionated craft leader — someone who sets a high bar for visual quality, brings a clear point of view, and knows how to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders. You’ll work closely with Product and Marketing to define, deliver, and govern a cohesive visual design language that spans product UI, brand expression, campaigns, and our design system. Job Responsibility:
Own and evolve bsport’s visual brand values and design language across Product and Marketing, ensuring consistency and excellence across all customer touchpoints
Define, document, and govern visual design guidelines spanning UI, brand, marketing, and campaigns
Lead the visual direction of bsport’s design system, partnering closely with Product Designers to ensure scalability, cohesion, and high-quality execution
Raise the bar for UI quality, delivering advanced visual design across layout, typography, color, iconography, illustration, and motion
Act as a tastemaker and opinionated craft leader, setting a clear visual point of view and advocating for strong design standards
Drive alignment across varied stakeholders, balancing brand, product, marketing, and business needs while maintaining visual integrity
Collaborate closely with Product Designers, User Researchers, Content Designers, Marketers, and Engineers to deliver cohesive, user-centred experiences
Contribute to and shape brand campaigns, marketing initiatives, and visual storytelling across channels
Apply motion design and micro-interactions to enhance product usability and brand expression where it adds real value
Explore and adopt AI-powered design tools and workflows to improve quality, speed, and creative exploration
Clearly rationalise and communicate design decisions, connecting visual choices to user needs, brand positioning, and business outcomes
Balance creative intuition with analytical thinking, using insight, feedback, and data to continuously refine the visual experience
Work hands-on in a fast-paced startup environment, while helping shape long-term visual vision and direction
Requirements:
Significant experience in UI and visual design, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality product UI, branding, and campaigns
Proven experience owning and evolving a visual brand across product and marketing, ideally across web and mobile
Strong experience working with design systems, particularly from a visual and brand-led perspective
Advanced proficiency in Figma, and various tools for brand and motion such as Adobe Creative Suite
Design system fluency, having played a leading role
includes component libraries, tokens, and collaborative workflows
Solid motion design skills, including interaction animations and micro-interactions
Experience working on SaaS products, ideally within a startup or scale-up environment
Comfort working alongside Product Designers, bringing a complementary visual and brand-focused perspective
Confidence influencing and aligning cross-functional stakeholders, even without direct authority
Ability to connect design decisions to business goals, user outcomes, and brand strategy
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain, defend, and evolve design decisions
A balance of creative excellence and analytical thinking, informed by insight and feedback
Curiosity and openness to AI tools in visual design and design systems, with a willingness to experiment and adapt your practice
Experience participating in or leading user research, and translating insights into visual and UI decisions
