We are currently partnering with an international industry leader that is looking for a highly experienced P&C underwriter to join their high-performing London team as a Lead Trader. This is an exciting opportunity to join forward-thinking business and the chance to develop your career within the corporate P&C space.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwrite large corporate P&C cases, with a strong focus on new business
  • Proactively lead the development of strong trading relationships in the London Market
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Mid Corporate customers with a GWP of £250k
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Provide expertise and guidance
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project objectives
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial underwriting, with significant experience in trading and managing complex risks
  • Strong broker relationships across the market

  • Lead and fully embed the large case management process for new business
  • Develop and build collaborative broker relationships, sometimes client, across the region, taking full ownership for the generation and placement of profitable commercial business from self-sourced
