Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Lead Surgical Technologist to support our Main OR Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Nassau. This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours a week working Monday through Friday and will require call.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
  • Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
  • Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
  • Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
  • This position will be over specific service lines, this could include GYN, Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Colo-rectal, and Podiatry
  • Will require call

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
  • Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
  • 3-5 Years Surgical Scrub Experience
  • Operating Room Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT Required Or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
  • Associate's Degree
