The Lead Integration Engineer has experience with core BD products and related interfaces. Responsible for providing implementation and support of BD integration projects for pharmacy, materials management and related healthcare systems to BD customers. The Lead Integration Engineer is responsible for design and validation of scoped interfaces to meet project timelines and established revenue objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in meetings / conference calls with customers to facilitate interface design, training, and validation
Establish rapport with customers (internal & external) that is conducive to a long term business relationships
Provide advanced team support and in-depth product information on BD products as assigned by manager (team product lead)
Must be able to interact with customer teams, gain consensus within teams and deliver concise and consistent communication
Consult Senior Integration Engineers as appropriate
Demonstrate knowledge of BD products and how they integrate with customer systems
Demonstrate understanding of core BD products, hospital information systems and system validation
Ability to interact with diverse cross-functional teams with a focus on medium to large health care organization
Actively participate in all training activities outlined by established Integration Engineer Learning Path
Participate in product/version upgrade integration validation
Must be detail oriented, and demonstrate the ability to multitask and implement projects consistent with established company and customer objectives
Demonstrate problem solving, troubleshooting, and system consultation skills related to BD product integration, best practice considerations and standardization
Act as team liaison for BD products / host systems as assigned by manager
Expected to meet on call duties as scheduled
Maintain accurate account backups and documentation
Work independently
Comply with all BD and Integration Engineer Policies and Procedures
Accurate completion of project documentation
Monitor and supply updates on escalated critical issues
Possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change
Assist MMS with Field Action execution, including customer notifications, obtaining customer acknowledgment forms, and follow-ups with customers to answer questions
Ensure all role related project records are accurate and up to date
Ensuring compliance with all relevant BD policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
Supports BD product teams to ensure the successful completion of their remediation projects
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
Knowledge of HIS integration systems, BD products and hospital workflow
Three or more years in healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement and computerized system applications with knowledge of HL7 or EDI standards
Experience with integrated delivery networks/multi-facility health systems required
Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, SharePoint, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Must provide proof of and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for and required by the facility which enables access to customer sites to perform essential job functions
Must maintain a current driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety requirements
