Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in order entry tasks and medication dispensing processes
  • Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
  • Entering new and refilling orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Preparing backup pharmacy orders
  • Complying with a process that addresses all state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling
  • Working alongside the pharmacist to ensure accuracy
  • Providing best in customer service

Requirements:

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • PTCB National Certification
