Job Description:

Experienced associate responsible for processing orders through the stockroom and ensuring items needed for orders are sent to the correct departments within the lab. Assists Supervisor with training and development of associates in the department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prints orders from DVI, edits for errors, sorts lens by materials and matches jobs to correct trays for processing
  • Able to pick frames and lenses by locating bin number on the Rx, scanning barcodes
  • Assist with removing lenses from manufacturer’s box, placing on correct side of the tray for processing
  • Pre-inspects lenses for visual imperfections and sends defects back to manufacturer
  • Receives all lenses into inventory
  • Inventories lenses periodically
  • Loads new frames into DVI
  • Distributes frame cases to the stores
  • Researches order failures
  • Adds lenses and frames to inventory for canceled orders
  • Matches invoices to trays
  • Processes lens breakage through DVI
  • Trains new associates according to direction from Stockroom Supervisor
  • Assists Supervisor in monitoring workflow of the department, associates are on task for operational efficiency
  • Works with the Supervisor to review and improve performance and environment of the department

Requirements:

  • No specific education required
  • Requires minimum of one (1) year of direct or related experience
  • Prior optical background with mass production experience desired
  • Must be able to read and write English
