Job Description:

Our multi agency child protection team are a team of experienced social workers who specialise in protecting children and families. These social workers are called Lead Child Protection Practitioners (LCPPs), and they are part of the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT). This team works closely with professionals from other fields, such as health, police, education, mental health, and other services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support social workers as they undertake child protection investigations
  • Offer consultation, guidance and support to the workforce and directly to families
  • Facilitate child protection decision making meetings in keeping with the changes brought about by the families first for children reform

Requirements:

  • Experienced social worker with experience within child protection
  • Experience in court work and attending court
  • Experience in completing assessments for court
  • Preferably qualification or experience in supporting less experienced members of staff
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Essential car user
  • The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post
  • Must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for appointment
