Job Description:

As the Lead Bartender, you will oversee bar operations, mentor and support bar staff, and ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction. You will be the primary contact for guests at the bar, responsible for creating an engaging and memorable beverage experience while maintaining smooth bar operations and adherence to Four Seasons standards. Your expertise in mixology, wine, and beverage service will be key to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, coach, and support the bar team, including bartenders and barbacks
  • Prepare and serve wines, spirits, and mixed drinks according to Four Seasons standards
  • Confirm guest orders, including special requests, using the POS system
  • Deliver personalized, knowledgeable service to bar guests, describing beverages, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Oversee cash handling, closing guest checks, and resolving discrepancies
  • Manage bar inventory, stock levels, and garnishments
  • Collaborate with FOH and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service
  • Conduct continuous training for the service team and new hires
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bar environment
  • Assist with seasonal cocktail creation and vendor communications
  • Monitor guest preferences to optimize inventory and minimize waste
  • Make menu suggestions and describe dishes and beverages to guests
  • Ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality service at all times

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–4 years of fine dining mixology experience
  • At least 2 years of front-of-house service experience
  • Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and beverage preparation techniques
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining composure
  • Professional grooming, hygiene, and adherence to uniform standards
  • Familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic financial handling
  • Responsive to feedback and committed to learning and progression in fine dining
