Job Description:

The Architect Lead is responsible for leading the end-to-end architectural design of airport terminal buildings, from concept to IFC drawings, ensuring compliance with aviation standards, functionality, passenger experience, and design excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead concept design, schematic design, design development, and IFC stages for airport terminal buildings
  • Prepare and review architectural drawings, layouts, 3D views, and design reports
  • Ensure compliance with ICAO, IATA, DGCA, NBC, fire & life safety codes
  • Develop passenger flow planning, terminal zoning, landside–airside interfaces
  • Coordinate architectural design with structural, MEP, BHS, ICT, security, and planning teams
  • Review and finalize design submissions, tender drawings, and specifications
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and authority submissions
  • Resolve design-related comments during design coordination and approvals
  • Maintain design quality, consistency, and compliance with project requirements
  • Lead and mentor the architectural design team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years total experience in architectural design
  • Minimum 5 years of exclusive experience in Airport Project/Terminal Building DESIGN
  • Design consultancy background only (no construction / site execution roles)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Registered Architect (COA or equivalent – preferred)
  • Strong expertise in Airport Terminal Architecture Design
  • In-depth knowledge of terminal planning, space programming, and aviation standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Navisworks
  • Strong design coordination and leadership skills
  • Experience in BIM-based design environments
  • Understanding of sustainable and green airport design principles
