Job Description:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating and monitoring washing and dry-cleaning equipment, handling damaged or stained articles, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of equipment, folding and organizing laundered items, and adhering to quality standards and safety policies. The position requires physical tasks, positive collaboration with the team, and compliance with company guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

Operate and monitor laundry machinery
identify and handle stains or damages appropriately
maintain cleanliness and functionality of laundry equipment
fold and organize cleaned items
ensure quality standards are met
adhere to company policies
report unsafe conditions
assist and collaborate with team
inspect tools and equipment
handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving items.

Requirements:

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery
add chemicals and clean lint traps
identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines
place items in clean linen carts
set dryers to designated times and temperatures
remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap
fold cleaned articles into designated size manually or using a folding machine
maintain accurate records of items laundered
stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, sloping or uneven surfaces, stairs, or service ramps
reach overhead or below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
follow company safety and security policies
report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions
maintain professional appearance and adhere to company policies
develop and maintain positive working relationships
support team to reach goals.
