Requirements:
Carry out routine inventories of linen and operating supplies as instructed by team leaders
Ensure no wastage / spoilage of supplies and amenities
Use of all equipment in a correct manner to prevent any damage
Ensure that all linen is tagged as per the guidelines and standards
Ensure to check for any valuables or any other items before processing the linen or garments and report the same as per procedure
Adhere to the linen classification procedure
Check the equipment from time to time to ensure operative effectiveness and report any non-compliance
Ensure that the equipment is never left on switch on mode, when unattended
Ensure that equipment is maintained as per guidelines, to prevent soiling of linen
Ensure quality in all aspects of work
Ensure to report any malfunctioning of the equipment to the Laundry Supervisor
To iron the linen, employee uniforms and guest linen as per the standard procedures
Ensure that all items are delivered without any stains and any damages are reported to the Supervisor as per process
Sort laundry items by kind, colour, and heavy soiled, medium soiled, light soiled and separate dry cleaning from laundry items
Load proper number of items and quantity or weight into washing machines, add detergents or chemicals as required and ensure to operate the machine carefully
Ensure to remove stains from the items using the proper stain removers and according to the standard procedures
Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness
Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by Management
Follow all policies of the organization
Attend all trainings as per training calendar
Follow organizational grooming standards
Ensuring redressal of any associate complaints / issues
Ensures that the workplace and storage areas remain clean and tidy
Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment (s)he uses
Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
Respects the hotel's commitments to the 'Environment Charter' (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc) and meets Novotel ISO 14001 environmental commitments as applicable to the role, if the hotel is involved in the programme
