Job Description:

Ghent Marriott Hotel is looking for a motivated and reliable Kitchen Steward to support our kitchen team. You ensure that dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils are always clean and ready so that the kitchen runs smoothly. Hygiene, speed, and teamwork are at the heart of your work.

Job Responsibility:

You are responsible for washing plates, glasses, cutlery, and kitchen utensils using a professional dishwasher
You ensure that all materials are neatly returned to their designated places
You help keep the kitchen clean, including floors, work surfaces, and waste disposal
You assist the team with the daily opening and closing of the kitchen
You promptly report shortages of cleaning supplies or technical issues
You work closely with the kitchen and service teams

Requirements:

Experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
You have an eye for cleanliness and work quickly and systematically
You are physically fit and like to roll up your sleeves
You are flexible and willing to work during weekends and holidays
You communicate fluently in Dutch or English
You are looking for either a full-time or part-time position
