The Key Account Manager Role involves building strong internal departmental relationships, working and supporting other Managers, Sales Team, and Customer Service Team. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers whilst maximising business growth opportunities.
Job Responsibility:
Understand Key customer individual needs
Resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently
Develop / Update / Understand Key Customer SOPs
Develop / Maintain agreed KPI’s for Key Customers
Attend and assist with preparation of customer QBR’s and customer audits
Play an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients
Responsible for the maintenance of existing sales and shipping volumes
Focus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business
Be involved in new business lane development and the tendering process for new business opportunities
Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions
Manage pricing and margins according to agreed targets
Support local and national marketing initiatives
Communicate and negotiate internally and externally to support the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
Represent the Company at meetings and presentations as necessary to perform duties and aid business development
Actively promote the brand and always provide exceptional customer service
Achieving new business sales targets predominately within the scope of the Aramex portfolio range
Requirements:
Previous experience in Account Management within the transport/ logistics industry
Commercially focused with a strong passion for customer service
A confident communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills
Strong account management and relationship building skills
Highly self-motivated and driven
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Ability to balance customer satisfaction with business profitability
