Job Description:

We are seeking a Junior System/Network Administrator with IT Helpdesk responsibilities to support day-to-day IT operations, ensure system availability, and assist with network stability. The individual will provide technical support to users, perform system monitoring, basic network troubleshooting, and assist senior administrators in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Monitor system and network performance to ensure secure and stable operations
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, servers, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi access points
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies (Active Directory, O365)
  • Support LAN/WAN connectivity issues, IP configuration, DNS/DHCP queries, and VPN access
  • Perform OS updates, security patching, antivirus monitoring, and backup support activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assets, incidents, system configurations, and support procedures
  • Coordinate issue escalations with senior system/network administrators
  • Prepare workstations and IT access for new hires and support equipment refreshes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in system administration, network support, or helpdesk support roles
  • Solid understanding of Windows OS, desktop administration, and common enterprise applications
  • Experience with networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, O365 administration, and remote support tools
  • Ability to diagnose issues logically and provide prompt resolutions
  • Strong customer service, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience with monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios)
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Associate certifications
