Job Responsibility:

  • Create and uphold effective EHS programs, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace, providing recommendations for mitigation measures
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of EH&S procedures, hazards, and best practices
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence
  • Stay up to date with relevant EHS regulations and industry standards, ensuring timely compliance with any changes
  • Perform regular audits and inspections to identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits
  • Participate in EHS committees and engage with regulatory agencies as necessary

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Health, or a related field
  • Proven experience in an EHS role, preferably within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others
  • Willingness to travel between Cork and Ennis locations as needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing EHS issues
  • A valid Visa/Work permit for the specific job location is essential for this role
