Job Description:

The Enterprise Data Stewardship team and support the ongoing quality, consistency, and reliability of enterprise master data. As an Enterprise Data Steward, you will work closely with senior stewards, data engineers, and platform teams to monitor data quality, investigate issues, and execute remediation activities. This role is more technically focused, emphasizing data analysis, systems understanding, and operational execution rather than business ownership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor enterprise master data for quality issues using defined rules, controls, and dashboards
  • Support identification, logging, and tracking of data quality incidents and defects
  • Perform data analysis and validation to assist in root cause investigation
  • Execute approved remediation steps within MDM platforms and downstream systems
  • Apply established data standards, business rules, and governance policies as directed
  • Develop working technical knowledge of systems supporting end-to-end master data flows
  • Assist with configuration, testing, and validation of data quality rules (matching, merging, survivorship)
  • Document defects, remediation actions, and data behaviors in accordance with team standards
  • Partner primarily with technology and data teams, escalating business questions when needed
  • Perform additional duties as required to support data operations and platform stability.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in data stewardship, data operations, analytics, or a related technical role
  • Exposure to at least one data domain such as Product, Vendor, Client, or Location
  • Experience working with data platforms such as MDM solutions, relational databases, data warehouses, or data lakes
  • Basic understanding of data quality concepts (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness)
  • Ability to follow established processes and manage multiple tasks with supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Clear written communication skills for documenting technical findings
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation
  • Intermediate Excel skills for analysis and reconciliation
  • Familiarity with ticketing or incident management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Exposure to Master Data platforms such as Stibo STEP, Informatica MDM, or similar
  • Familiarity with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Awareness of ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA
  • Exposure to AI-assisted research tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) for productivity support
  • Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

  • Hands-on experience executing data corrections in controlled environments
  • Experience supporting data quality monitoring or operational data controls
