Job Description:

Altamira has an open position for a talented Junior Accounts Receivable Analyst, with proven record and performance in the U.S. Government contracting industry, at our Corporate Headquarters in McLean, VA.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform monthly, invoicing tasks, Accounts Receivable collections, and cash receipts
  • Collect and analyze data to provide monthly variance and trend analyses, account activity details to ensure accuracy and thorough understanding of the account balances and activity
  • Ensure proper classification of cost in the appropriate cost accounts and projects
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, FAR and CAS
  • Assist with annual and periodic financial audits, Incurred Cost Submission and DCAA interactions
  • Work closely with Program Control team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting on active projects and close out projects
  • Assist with special projects
  • Other duties and assignments as required

Requirements:

  • Deltek Costpoint experience
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in finance and accounting in the government contracting industry
  • Must be detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and analytical approach and mindset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is desired
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively interact and communicate, both oral and written, with individuals across the organization

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with strong work ethic
