Requirements

2-3 years of insurance experience within a commercial lines environment
Familiarity with a range of insurance products – particularly property, liability, or entertainment-related risks is a bonus
Experience working within a broking or underwriting team preferred
Previous exposure to delegated authority or bordereaux handling advantageous
Competent with Open GI or similar broking systems
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude
Passion or interest in the arts or entertainment industry is welcomed

Job Responsibility

Supporting Account Executives in servicing a diverse book of business across Commercial and some HNW risks
Preparing and issuing policy documentation including new business packs, endorsements, and cover notes
Handling and processing bordereaux, with awareness of delegated authority requirements
Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth policy administration
Ensuring data integrity across internal systems and documentation
Supporting with general administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required
Issue timely and accurate policy documentation
Maintain and update client files on Open GI
Work closely with brokers and insurers to resolve queries
Assist in compiling bordereaux and liaise on any discrepancies

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ requisite experience
Proficiency in the principles, practices, and legal aspects of major classes of General Insurance
In-depth knowledge spanning various Insurance products
Familiarity with the UK General Insurance market
Understanding of FCA requirements pertaining to Commercial customers outlined in ICOB
Adherence to the Company’s Procedures Manual and Complaints Procedure
Competence in operating the Company’s IT system
Proficiency in report writing, broking presentations, and the preparation of insurance registers
Familiarity with the Law of Agency and the Data Protection Act
Awareness of the requirements of money laundering legislation

Job Responsibility

To contribute to the achievement of Divisional forecasts, plans, programs, and budgets within the corporate team
Maintain consistent and meaningful communication with existing customers, ensuring their insurance needs align with established service levels
Adhere strictly to Divisional processes and procedures, including TAM (and others)
Collaborate closely with Account Executives and fellow Account Handlers to guarantee a high level of customer satisfaction
Ensure clarity, completeness, and up-to-date status of files, notes, and records for seamless information access during periods of absence, upholding elevated client service and documentation accuracy
Promote and uphold a professional and competent image to enhance overall customer satisfaction
Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the office and accomplish housekeeping tasks efficiently
Actively engage in the firm’s Performance Appraisal system, setting annual business and personal development goals and participating in quarterly reviews
Take a proactive stance in personal development initiatives
Adhere consistently to the FCA Principles for Business, complying with both FCA and internal procedures to uphold the company’s responsibilities in this domain
