Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Java Lead who can manage complex projects end-to-end and provide strong technical and people leadership. The ideal candidate is not only a hands-on developer but also a strategic thinker capable of designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise solutions within the banking and financial domain. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong project management skills, and a passion for adopting modern frameworks and cloud-native architectures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and Manage Projects: Drive complete software delivery lifecycle — from requirement analysis, architecture design, and development to deployment and post-release optimization
  • Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of Java developers, ensuring adherence to best coding practices and architectural principles
  • Architecture & Design: Design and implement high-performance, secure, and scalable applications leveraging Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud-native patterns
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams — frontend, DevOps, QA, product, and business analysts — to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with business goals
  • Quality & Performance: Conduct regular code reviews, ensure unit and integration testing, and proactively address performance bottlenecks
  • Agile Delivery: Lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups), ensuring sprint goals and project milestones are achieved on time
  • Innovation: Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies like Reactive Programming, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, and serverless frameworks
  • Banking Expertise: Apply domain knowledge to design reliable, secure, and compliant solutions for core banking, payments, and financial transaction systems

Requirements:

  • Java Stack: Java 8/11/17/21, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, RESTful APIs, Microservices
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab), Maven/Gradle, SonarQube
  • Data & Messaging: RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra), Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
  • Strong understanding of security standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, PCI-DSS)
  • Excellent communication, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Reactive Programming (Spring WebFlux) and GraphQL
  • Exposure to Serverless architectures (AWS Lambda / Azure Functions)
  • Familiarity with Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and domain-driven design
  • Banking domain certifications or prior experience in financial services
  • Hands-on with performance tuning and high-availability systems
