We are actively looking for a talented developer with a strong background in JavaScript who wants to grow their skills and join us on our digital transformation journey at Bosch. You will become part of an expert IT team supporting this process. We are building an innovative Master Data Management (MDM) platform to manage crucial data for the entire organization. To achieve this, we use the cutting-edge application STEP from Stibo Systems - a global leader in MDM solutions. The STEP application is tightly integrated with our Media Asset Management (MAM) system, and together they form the backbone for any e-commerce business within Bosch. As a future Stibo STEP Developer, you will work on exciting customer and product data projects. Your JavaScript expertise will be invaluable for creating user interfaces, business logic, and integrations, as the STEP platform heavily utilizes JavaScript for configuration and customization. This role will enable you to gain unique skills in the dynamically growing and high-demand field of MDM.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting the team with the analysis of customer requirements
  • Collaborating with Bosch-internal application stakeholders worldwide
  • Identifying the root causes of application and interface errors
  • Performing application analyses to ensure high availability and performance
  • Designing and implementing JavaScript-based solutions within the STIBO STEP environment
  • Creating business logic, validation rules, and workflows
  • Debugging and optimizing code to ensure the highest quality

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in producing well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code
  • The ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
  • A strong attention to detail and thrives in a team-oriented environment
  • A passion for learning and development
  • Advanced English language skills (B2/C1)
  • A university degree in Computer Science (or a related field)
  • JavaScript: A strong understanding of the language fundamentals (ES6+), object-oriented concepts, event handling, and asynchronous programming
  • Framework/Library Experience: Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar is a plus
  • Data Structures & Algorithms: Proficient in using this knowledge to optimize application performance
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to efficiently debug complex issues

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with XML/JSON and REST API-based integrations
  • Experience with database systems (SQL or NoSQL)
  • Basic knowledge of Java or another object-oriented language
