Job Description:

We’re seeking a IT Systems, Network, & Security Administrator for a project-based assignment to provide hands-on IT support and infrastructure administration across a hybrid environment. You'll focus on email security, endpoint management, and general IT operations across multiple Los Angeles-based locations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer and support the organization’s cloud-based email security platform, Mimecast, for issues relating to threat investigation, message tracing, and policy management
  • Monitor and respond to phishing, spoofing, and impersonation attempts
  • Perform physical network troubleshooting, including identifying cabling faults, checking patch panels, validating link lights, and ensuring proper switch/AP connectivity
  • Support the organization’s cloud-based identity and access management platform, Okta, day-to-day operations regarding user access, SSO access to internal and SaaS applications, and multi-factor authorization (MFA) issue resolution
  • Manage and monitor the organization's mobile device management (MDM) platforms, Microsoft Intune and Kandji, troubleshooting MDM enrollment issues, profile errors, and missing agents
  • Provide support and troubleshoot device compliance, deployment, and access issues for Windows and macOS devices
  • Oversee user account management in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including user provisioning, device setup, and access changes
  • Provide Tier 1–3 helpdesk support, including MFA, password resets, access issues, and escalation handling
  • Review and triage security alerts in Microsoft Defender and Entra ID
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal teams to resolve IT incidents and outages across various worksites
  • Provide clear and detailed documentation regarding issues, resolutions, and any organizational environmental changes during the coverage period
  • Continuously review, report, and escalate critical security or infrastructure issues to leadership and other appropriate contacts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Technology, or a related field required
  • At least 3 years of experience in an IT Systems Admin, Security Admin, or Senior IT Support role
  • Prior experience with cloud-based email security software, preferably Mimecast
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM), preferably Microsoft Intune and/or Kandji
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Entra ID
  • Prior experience troubleshooting identity, access, and MFA-related issues
  • Solid understanding of email security concepts such as phishing, spoofing, DMARC, DKIM, and SPF
  • Comfortable supporting a mixed Windows and macOS environment
  • Ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment while making sound judgment calls in security and user access scenarios
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable and fully insured vehicle as this role will be traveling throughout Los Angeles to support staff at LAFC Headquarters, BMO Stadium, and the LAFC Performance Center at California State University – Los Angeles

Nice to have:

  • Experience with basic network troubleshooting (switching, wireless, firewall concepts) preferred
  • Familiarity with Cisco networking and firewall environments preferred
  • Familiarity with GPON network infrastructure, including basic troubleshooting and fault isolation, is a plus
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 / Defender for Endpoint preferred
  • Prior experience in a hybrid on-premises + cloud environment is a plus
