Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled IT Support specialist to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and deskside support to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and hardware. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Job Responsibility:

Provide hands-on deskside support for computer hardware, laptops, and workstations
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems and PC hardware
Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper access and security
Utilize ticketing systems to track, document, and resolve IT support requests
Deliver exceptional customer service while addressing user inquiries and concerns
Perform diagnostic testing and maintenance on hardware components
Assist with the setup and configuration of new computer systems and software
Collaborate with other IT team members to provide comprehensive support
Monitor system performance and escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams
Maintain clear and accurate records of support activities and outcomes

Requirements:

Proven experience in providing technical support for computer hardware and workstations
Familiarity with operating systems and PC hardware troubleshooting
Proficiency in using ticketing systems to manage and resolve support requests
Strong understanding of user account management processes
Excellent customer service skills and effective communication abilities
Ability to perform hardware diagnostics and maintenance
Experience in setting up and configuring computer systems and software
Capability to work collaboratively with IT teams and escalate issues when necessary
