This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Desk Apprentice to work as part of an internal IT team supporting approximately 2000 users across 15+ sites and would suit someone who is confident in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Job Responsibility:
Answer telephone calls in a professional, confident, and timely manner
Learn to log, categorise, and track incoming IT tickets
Assist users with basic technical inquiries via phone, email, web portal, and in person
Shadow experienced team members to develop troubleshooting skills
Contribute to maintaining the service desk knowledge base
Participate in regular training sessions and self-study activities
Support basic IT system administration tasks
Requirements:
Good general education with strong numeracy and literacy skills
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Windows
Demonstratable communication skills, both written and verbal
Problem-solving aptitude and logical thinking
Genuine interest in technology and IT systems
Previous customer service experience is desirable
Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
IT-related qualifications or courses (e.g., GCSE Computing, IT BTec)
