Job Description:

Urban Renaissance Group is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical capabilities to support The Company’s real estate investment and development activities. In this capacity, the individual’s primary responsibilities will be to collaborate with the Investments team for all functions related to the underwriting of new acquisitions and the asset management of existing investment and development opportunities in Seattle, Portland and Denver. Candidates are expected to perform complex financial modeling and have strong written and verbal communication skills. This person will work closely with team members from various groups within the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwrite new investments, including property cash flow modeling, debt financing and joint venture structuring (static pro-formas, IRRs, NPVs, sensitivity tables, promote waterfalls, etc.)
  • Perform lease analysis, develop capital plans, and regularly review valuations for existing assets
  • Oversee the due diligence process on potential new investments
  • Develop and maintain financial models
  • Perform and effectively analyze in-depth market research
  • Prepare formal Investment Committee memorandums and presentations describing potential new investments
  • Support the execution of business plans for new investments
  • Prepare complex analysis in support of client and firm requests
  • Work in collaboration with various departments (such as marketing, operations, accounting, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with focus on Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years Financial Analyst experience with exposure to Commercial Real Estate
  • Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills utilizing MS Excel
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks under pressure
  • Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Excellent analytical abilities / quantitative skills
  • Effective communication and business writing skills
  • Ability to work beyond the typical 40-hour work week with occasional weekends including travel
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
