Focus on scientific payload engineering for space within the department of “Life Support & Payloads”. Department builds Life Support Systems and Payloads in biology, medicine, physics and material science for space applications for customers ESA/DLR.
Job Responsibility:
Accompany processes and be mentored by a member of the Chief Engineering Team to get an insight to human space flight business
Be assigned to the cutting-edge project CIMON (first free-flying crew assistant on-board the ISS)
Requirements:
Enrolled full time student within the field of systems engineering, software engineering, aviation and aerospace engineering, mechatronic, physics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
Hands-on mentality and pro-active problem solving
CAD skills (e.g. Solid Works, CATIA, FreeCAD) are an asset
Software skills (e.g. C++, Python) are an asset
Very well organized and adaptable to different situations
Advanced in English (advanced in German is an asset)
Nice to have:

Advanced German language skills
