Job Description:

Centennial Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced OMB A-123 Internal Controls Appendix D Support Specialist to lead a task. The ideal candidate must ensure that IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, and system security controls are properly designed, implemented, and tested to support compliance with OMB A-123 Appendix D requirements. This role is critical to safeguarding data integrity, ensuring audit readiness, and enhancing the reliability of financial reporting systems across the enterprise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure IT controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) are designed, implemented, and tested in compliance with OMB A-123 Appendix D
  • Review and document ITGCs, application controls, and system security controls to support audit readiness
  • Conduct walkthroughs, perform testing, and document results aligned with NIST, FISMA, and GAO Green Book standards
  • Collaborate with CIO staff, ISSOs, and system owners to remediate deficiencies and track corrective action plans (CAPs)
  • Support external audits (NFR, GAO, IPA) by gathering and providing required IT control evidence
  • Strengthen financial system reliability and reduce audit risk through continuous improvement of IT control environments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Accounting Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in OMB A 123 Appendix D support, including IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, FISMA/NIST compliance, and system-level audit support, with at least 2 years in a lead role
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating IT control testing, remediation, and audit readiness activities across financial systems
  • Strong background in project management, IT risk management, and communication techniques to direct work of others and engage stakeholders
  • Familiarity with federal financial systems, ICOFR requirements, and OMB A-123 Appendix D implementation guidance
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills used in staff guidance, technical instructions, and status reporting
  • Must have prior experience supporting federal agencies

Nice to have:

Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CGFM, or CPA is desired
