Internship in the Office of the Director-General at UNESCO Headquarters. The intern will assist advisors in preparing files on UNESCO's competency areas (education, science, culture, social sciences, communication) and gain knowledge of UNESCO's working environment, operations, and interactions with international institutions.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Advisor in preparing files on subjects related to UNESCO's fields of competency
Assist in preparing notes and opinions on administrative, political and communications issues
Help prepare elements for various interventions by the Director-General (speeches, talking points, messages, editorials, articles, forewords)
Carry out documentary research for speeches or official visits
Revise correspondence to be signed by the Director-General
Requirements:
At least 20 years old
Currently enrolled in 3rd or final year of Bachelor's degree OR currently enrolled in second university degree (Master's/PhD) OR completed Bachelor's/Master's/PhD within last 12 months
Excellent command of English or French (written and spoken)
Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software
Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to have:
Working knowledge of the other language (English or French)
