The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Over the course of 10 - 12 weeks our interns gain industry experience while working alongside our talented team on meaningful projects. The U.S. VOXZOGO marketing team (within the Skeletal Conditions Business Unit) supports this vision by developing and implementing brand strategies that drive growth. VOXZOGO is the first therapy approved for use in patients with achondroplasia, a rare disease that impacts thousands of children, adults and families around the world. BioMarin continues to develop VOXZOGO for potential new uses in other disease states. This internship offers a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients by preparing for a potential indication launch.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct landscape assessment for a new indication
Assess customer educational needs (Caregivers and/or HCPs) through market research, secondary data, internal interviews and other sources
Contribute to US marketing strategies for potential new indication
Develop marketing tactics for a potential new indication (e.g., disease-state education campaign)
Develop metrics and/or dashboard to measure campaign effectiveness
Present recommendations and/or key learnings to commercial and cross-functional leadership
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA/relevant graduate program
Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program
Must be able to relocate and work at the designated site (San Rafael, CA) 2-3 days per week for the duration of the internship
