As part of this journey, we are growing our secondhand proposition — giving products a second life and reducing waste. Now, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Intern in Sustainability to help us create a new Secondhand Pricing Model. This new pricing model needs to enable us to achieve our ambitious growth ambitions whilst making this more financially sustainable.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze existing data on secondhand sales, customer willingness to pay, and operational costs
Develop and test a dynamic pricing framework that balances sustainability ambitions with business performance
Translate analytical insights into clear, practical recommendations and actions
Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across IKEA functions
Set up pilots and run experiments to continuously improve the pricing model based on real-world feedback
Present findings and proposals to internal stakeholders in a clear and convincing manner
Requirements:
Doing this internship as part of your school's degree
You're following an education at a Dutch school in the fields of Business, Economics, Data Science, Sustainability, or a related area
You have strong analytical skills and a natural talent for working with numbers and data
You know how to turn insights into concrete, actionable outcomes
You are curious, hands-on, and not afraid to test, fail, learn, and try again
You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
You can easily connect with a variety of people and build trust
Experience in organizing and leading projects or programs is a pre
You are passionate about sustainability
You share IKEA’s values of togetherness, cost-consciousness, and a positive impact
