Job Description:

We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sales Ops Intern to support our growing sales team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating across teams, and is eager to develop foundational sales and business operations skills. You’ll gain hands-on experience in CRM management, sales operations, lead qualification, and customer engagement while supporting high-impact initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying leads through targeted research and outreach
  • Call potential customers to engage, qualify leads, and nurture early-stage relationships
  • Support the preparation of compelling sales presentations and proposals
  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s product offerings and articulate how they align with market demands and solve customer problems
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activities in our CRM system
  • Perform regular CRM administration tasks, including data entry, updating contact information, and generating essential reports for the sales team
  • Support critical Sales Operations functions, including assisting with the system build-out of new sales tools and providing support for month-end close activities to ensure accurate reporting
  • Provide general project management support by tracking project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Actively collaborate with team members on various projects and contribute directly to achieving team goals

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college or university, pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and professionally
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are critical for CRM and Sales Ops responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to have:

Familiarity with CRM and ERP software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Netsuite) is a significant plus

  • Learn the different steps of how to process a purchase order at an IT organization like Trace3
  • Review orders to ensure accuracy of shipping address, PO, shipping account information, price, etc.
  • Enter purchase orders into our ERP (NetSuite)
  • Learn and work alongside Accounting and Sales to resolve variances and problem-solve discrepancies
  • Track backlog of orders processed and perform item fulfillment based on vendor fulfillment document
  • Learn how to build relationships with internal teams, sales, and outside vendors
  • Perform other duties as assigned
