Job Description:

Internship role at Climeworks, a leading carbon removal provider, to support HSE Systems & Process Coordination. The role involves process development, compliance, data reporting, and collaboration in a global team dedicated to climate-positive technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • HSSE Process Development: shaping and optimizing Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) processes and workflows
  • Compliance & Audits: support the maintenance and continuous improvement of HSSE management systems, coordinating internal audits, compliance checks, and corrective actions
  • Data & Reporting: contribute to collecting and analyzing safety and environmental data, preparing KPI reports for management
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with teams across Switzerland, Iceland, Germany, and other jurisdictions to align practices with legal requirements and company standards
  • Training & Communication: assist in preparing training materials and communicating HSSE policies
  • Incident Management: participate in incident reporting and investigation processes under supervision

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical / Process Engineering or a similar field
  • Strong interest in HSSE, compliance, and process improvement
  • Excellent organizational abilities and a sharp analytical mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Forms, and Lists)
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and HSE regulations is an advantage
  • Basic programming skills are a plus
  • Fluent in English (German or Icelandic is a plus)
