Job Responsibility:
Using your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning IKEA Sylvia Park as the first choice for home furnishing in the local market
Effect positive change on life at home of the many New Zealanders
Implementing your home furnishing knowledge to create inspiring solutions for our visitors and customers within our room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity
Stimulating emotional connection to home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently
Coordinating and implementing new home furnishing solutions, throughout the store
Using the IKEA product range to show the distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs within the local market. Including visiting our customers where they live
Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas
Requirements:
A true passion for home furnishing and people’s lives at home with a strong ability to inspire and transform functional home furnishing spaces
A strong communicator, capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve goals through interior design
Passionate to follow the process from idea to implementation, as a practical and hands on individual, with proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
An ability to flourish in a dynamic and creatively charged environment, working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and passionate about the IKEA brand
Experienced with spatial planning programs such as Revit (preferred) or AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CC Suite
An Interior Design or Architecture qualification, or Design related education
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interior Design or another Design related role
An understanding of how to handle multiple tasks with a hands-on mindset often utilising tools like ladders, sewing machines, power tools, including painting
