Job Description:

Opportunity to work as an Interior Design Co-worker at IKEA Goyang, contributing to innovative and inspiring home furnishing solutions. Collaborate with various teams to bring creativity and functionality to the store experience while reflecting IKEA’s brand identity.

Job Responsibility:

Positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in the local market
applying home furnishing knowledge to ensure up-to-date room settings and other store media
stimulating and increasing interest for home furnishing through new and inspiring solutions
creating visual impact in commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas
using home furnishing competence to create solutions in room settings, homes, and sales support areas
gathering insights from home visit interviews and translating them into relevant home furnishing solutions
contributing to a Showroom matrix reflecting a variety of styles, living situations, and price levels
ensuring simplicity, efficiency, and cost consciousness in all range presentation solutions
staying updated about home furnishing, retailing, and trends and contributing creative ideas
supporting the department action plan with business growth initiatives
working quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understanding the financial impact of actions
minimizing disruption and ensuring safety and positive visual impact for visitors

Requirements:

Education in interior design or architecture
creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics
striving for simple, lean, and cost-efficient ways of working with flexible adaptation to changing retail situations
practical hands-on approach to tasks
providing home furnishing solutions that improve people’s life at home
ability to generate, visualize, and present new ideas
ability to work together with others in a team
confident communication skills in various situations
physical ability for tasks such as climbing ladders and handling heavy equipment
2-3 years of interior design experience in retail or related background
