Job Description:

The Integrated Payments Specialist is responsible for driving adoption and sales of Blackbaud’s payment solutions, including both donation-based payments and vendor payment products. This role orchestrates a best-in-class customer experience from pre-sales through go-live, ensuring clients are onboarded, trained, and quickly adopting both products. As a key member of the Payments Team, you will work with existing customers and identify new opportunities within assigned territories, serving as a trusted advisor to help organizations maximize the value of their payment solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage sales activities to exceed assigned revenue objectives for both donation and vendor payment products
  • Aggressively position Blackbaud as the solution of choice and promote rapid adoption of payment offerings
  • Engage with new and existing customers through 1:1 and group initiatives to ensure readiness for implementation, training, and go-live
  • Establish executive relationships at senior levels within client accounts, providing tactical and strategic plans with measurable timeframes
  • Coordinate resources such as online demonstrations and proposals to educate clients and advance sales cycles
  • Foster internal collaboration across teams to provide a continuous, connected customer experience focused on delight and value
  • Define and monitor usage and data insights to provide guidance and follow-up when risk is present

  • Follow up on leads to establish additional relationships and collaborate with Client Success Managers to generate additional revenue from the existing client base
  • Understand customer priorities and desired outcomes to provide strategic recommendations for leveraging payment solutions
  • Build and maintain an accurate pipeline and timely sales forecasts for management
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer industry trends and payment needs
  • Contribute to product evolution by collecting feedback and ideating improvements to sales and onboarding processes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in positioning and selling software solutions, including embedded merchant processing and payments
  • nonprofit experience a plus
  • Previous experience or knowledge of high-volume outbound contact (email & phone) in a sales environment
  • Knowledge and experience with solution-selling or consultative selling methodologies
  • Experience navigating complex sales and acquiring new business, as well as cultivating existing relationships
  • Proven track record of consistent over-quota achievement within a solutions software vendor
  • Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
  • Deep understanding of industry trends related to payments, donations, and vendor management
